RARE Pra Sivali, Pim Yai, Pim
Muak Gan Knock, Lang Lai Niw Hua Mae Meu Luang Phor Guay, Nua Din. An
extra-large baked clay Pra Sivali Arhat amulet with figure of Pra Sivali on his
pilgrimage holding a walking stick, a cloth bag, a kettle, an alms bowl, and a
"Klot” (a large umbrella equipped with an insect screen and a wooden pole),
in the back is with a trace of a finger prints of Luang Phor Guay. This Pra Sivali amulet is called “Pim Muak
Gan Knock” because the head of Pra Sivali is in a huge circular shape as of the
motorcycle helmet. Made by Luang Phor Guay of Wat Khositaram (Wat Ban Khae), Chai
Nat Province, after BE 2515 (CE 1972).

Pra Sīvalī
Pra Sīvalī is a Buddhist arahant or arhat widely
venerated among Theravada Buddhists. He is the guardian saint of travel and is
believed to ward off misfortune at home, such as fire or theft. His veneration
predates the introduction of Theravada Buddhism into present-day Myanmar
(Burma). Shin Thiwali is typically depicted standing upright and carrying a
walking staff, an alms bowl and prayer beads.Born to Queen Suppavasa, Shin
Thiwali is believed to have remained in his mother’s womb for seven years
because of past karma.After a week in labor, Sīvalī’s mother gave birth to a
precocious boy who could immediately speak. Thereafter, Buddha’s chief disciple
Sariputra admitted Sīvalī into the Sangha. The Burmese believe that he is still
